Awards Banquet

The Florida West Coast Engineering Alliance will be holding its 4th annual "Celebrate Engineering" Awards Banquet on February 13, 2004. The Speaker for the event will be Dr. Robin Murphy, Director of the Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue at the University of South Florida. The topic of the presentation will be the use of mini-robots in disaster rescue situations such as 9/11 and earthquakes. The presentation will include a video and she will bring one or two robots to demonstrate during the reception.
The emcee will be Dick Crippen.
This premier event brings together local leaders and engineering professionals to recognize the outstanding achievements of Engineers, Science & Math Teachers, and Students in our community.

Who Is The Alliance?

The Florida West Coast Engineering Alliance
was created to further the engineering and allied technical professions by recognizing individual achievement and encouraging cooperative activities in these professions.
