Program of Events for the Banquet
5:30pm Reception A reception is planned giving everyone an opportunity to get to know each other and to view the many Vendor and Society Displays. A harpist and flutist will be playing and two cash bars will be available. Throughout the evening a caricaturist will be providing entertainment. The reception will begin to wind down at about 6:45pm.
7:00pm Introduction Hopefully by this time everyone will have found their seats and be ready to listen to Paul Wielozynski give a brief overview of the evening and perform some introductions of our guest and sponsors before handing over the microphone to Dick Crippen our Master of Ceromonies for the evening. Door prizes will be drawn at suitable breaks thoughout the evening.
7:10pm Student of the Year Awards The IEEE and ASME societies will recognise an outstanding Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Student.
7:20pm Dinner is Served (Menu)
7:55pm Door prizes will be handed out and a brief break before our featured speaker.
8:00pm Featured Speaker Dr. Robin Murphy will be talking about her research work info mini-robots used in rescue operations.
8:40pm Lignell Awards This year's Lignell Awards will be presented to the oustanding math & science teachers of Pasco, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties by senior executives from Seminole Electric and Honeywell.
9:00pm Engineer of the Year Awards Each of the Societies in the Alliance will make a presentation to an Outstanding Engineer from their Society.
10:00pm Thanks A final word of thanks will be given by Al Kurzenhauser, the Chairman of the banquet committee. The final door prizes will be drawn.
