Marshall Avenue and Soldier's Home Road
Students from each of our local student chapters compete for prize money and the honor of representing the IEEE Hampton Roads at SouthEastCon. The winners will move on to SouthEastCon where we have had an excellent track record in winning or placing. Click here for the scoring guidelines.
Prizes:
- 1st Place: $200
- 2nd Place: $100
- 3rd Place: $50
Checks: Checks should be made out to IEEE and brought to the meeting.
Note: this is one week later than our normal meeting to give the students more time to prepare their papers
From Williamsburg:
- Take I-64 East to Exit-267 (Hampton University).
- The off ramp ends at a stoplight on Settlers Landing Road, with Tyler Street directly ahead of you.
- Go straight through this stoplight and continue down Tyler St. to Soldier's Home Road .
From Norfolk:
- Take I-64 West to exit 267 (Hampton University).
- At the bottom of exit turn left onto Settlers Landing Road.
- Turn left at the next light.
- Keep straight to Tyler Street, turn right.
- Go straight through this stoplight and continue down Tyler St. to Soldier's Home Road
To Student Center:
- Turn left onto Soldier's Home Road.
- Proceed two blocks to Marshall Avenue and turn left.
- The student center will be on your left across from Armstrong Athletic Field.
- Parking is in front of the Student Center and on Soldier's Home Road.
Alternative direction from Settler Landing Road:
- Turn left onto Emancipation Drive immediately after turning onto Tyler Street (light approximately 100 feet from Settler Landing Road).
- Proceed two blocks to Marshall Drive and turn right - Olin Engineering Building is on the corner.
- Proceed down Marshall Street to Student Center.
- The Student Center will be on your right. Parking is in front of the Student Center and on Soldier's Home Road.
