Additionally, your event will be announced, or a link established, on this web site. The section newsletter reaches about 1600 local IEEE members each month. It is a free resource that you can't ignore.
The Open Channel is published eight times a year about a week prior to our scheduled meetings. Submit copy for publication to our Newsletter editor, Bill LaBelle ( ) by the Friday approximately four weeks prior to each meeting.

The Open Channel is sent to all Hampton Roads Section members who have not chosen to "opt out." If you have opted out in the past and want to resume receiving The Open Channel please visit www.ieee.org/organizations/rab/e-notice/section-optin.html. This is a moderated list that anyone can join, but all mailings are controlled by our list owner. Unlike other mail lists, you can not send to it without permission of the IEEE Hampton Roads Section. e-Notices of general interest, such as the newsletter and meeting announcements, will be sent to this list.

Make sure you put your first and last name in the place of the <yourfirstname> and <yourlastname> place holders. A confirmation message will be sent to your email address asking you to confirm your subscription request. You must reply to this message with ok in the body of the message. Leave the subject unchanged. If you do not supply your first and last names in the command line, you may experience problems. LISTSERV may ask you to resend the command if it can not extract your names from your email.

Do not include your name or e-mail address in the body of the signoff message.
