IEEE Student Branches work on technical projects, host lectures, volunteer, and host a number of social events.

Charger IEEE is the IEEE Student Branch of UAHuntsville. They compete in the annual IEEE SoutheastCon robotics competition, software competition and web design competition. The UAH Student Branch was instrumental in hosting SoutheastCon 2008 here in Huntsville. In addition to SoutheastCon, they also mentor junior students and host training sessions such as the UAH Advanced Charger Trainer. The UAH Student Branch also hosts frequent social activities such as camping and canoe trips.
