Technical Societies

The IEEE Huntsville Section includes six technical societies that regularly host technical discussions and training sessions.

Aerospace Electronics and Systems Society (AESS)

AESS focuses on the organization, design, development, integration, and operation of complex systems for space, air, ocean or ground environments. For more information about the local chapter, contact AESS Chairmen Keith Jadus and Ron Ogan.

Computer Society (CS)

CS is dedicated to advancing the theory and application of computer and information-processing technology. For more information about the local chapter, contact Computer Society Chairman Bob Robinson.

Control Systems Society (CSS)

CSS is dedicated to the advancement of research, development, and practice in automation and control systems. For more information about the local chapter, contact Controls Society Chairman Wayne Kendrick.

Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (EMC)

The purpose of the EMC society is to further education, excellence and the EMC presence in the Huntsville area. By coming together we can increase the bandwidth of our member’s knowledge by learning from one another. For more information about the local chapter, contact EMC Chairman Doug Parker.
