Dr. Adel S. Elmaghraby is a Professor and Chair of Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering where he served as a faculty since 1982. He completed his BS (1973) from Alexandria University, and MSEE (1978), Ph.D. (1982) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is active with several IEEE societies and is the recipient of the IEEE - Computer Society Golden Core Membership Award for his service to the profession on the occasion of the Society's 50TH anniversary.

Jeff Haeberlin is a graduate of the University of Louisville, with the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science; Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering; and Juris Doctor. He is a patent attorney with Stites and Harbison, PLLC, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, he is admitted to the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the US Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and the Supreme Court of Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He has worked as an electrical engineer for Eastman Kodak Co.'s Chemical Division (now Eastman Chemical Co.) providing engineering support for the design and development of prototype instrumentation and process controls. Additionally, he worked for two law firms following graduation from law school - one in general practice, the other concentrating in Intellectual Property. He is the Treasurer of the Gruetli-Helvetia Society (Swiss-American Club) of Louisville.
