Membership Development Report for November 2009:

As of October 22, 2009, there were 1465 active members of all grades in the Orlando Section. This is an increase of 12 from 1453 members of October 5, 2009.  

A comparison of membership counts by grade for the last three reporting periods is shown below.

Notable increases have occurred at the Student Member (+6), Graduate Student Member (+11), and Affiliate Member (+2) grades, since the last reporting period.  The growth in student memberships is due to in-migration to the Orlando Section and the residual effect of the student membership drives at UCF and VCC. 

Over the 31 days, ending on October 21, 2009, 30 new members joined the Orlando Section: 2 Members, 20 Student Members, and 8 Graduate Student Members. See the attached list of new members in the Orlando Section.

Over the 31 days, ending on October 22, 2009, 20 active IEEE members moved into the Orlando Section: 1 Graduate Student Member, 2 Life Members, 12 Members, and 5 Student Members.  See the attached list of incoming existing members to the Orlando Section.

The webcast of the last Membership Development Conference Call, webcast on October 17, 2009, is attached as a compressed (.zip) file.

A special Region 3 conference call for coordination of membership development efforts has been scheduled by Lee Stogner for November 7, 2009.

The next general IEEE Membership Development Conference Call is scheduled for November 24, 2009.

The next meeting of the IEEE review board to decide on Senior Member applications is November 11, 2009.  All members interested in a grade elevation to Senior grade should submit their applications in the next two weeks.
