As of August 27, 2009, there were 1452 active members of all grades in the
Orlando Section. This is an increase from 1352 members at the start of August
2009. A comparison of membership counts by grade is shown below.

The largest increases have occurred at the Member grade level (+78), Life
Member (+12), and Student grades (+11), with small decreases (-3) at the
Graduate Student and (-1 net) Senior Member grades.
Over the 31 days ending August 27, 2009, 44 new members joined the Orlando
Section: 0 Associate; 9 Members; 21 Student Members; and 14 Graduate Student

Most importantly, all members are cordially invited to attend a special
Membership Drive, focused on Senior Member grade elevation, from 5:30 pm - 7:00
pm, Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in the Commons of the DeVry University,
Florida Metro campus, 4000 Millenia Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32839.
This membership drive will be held prior to the September IEEE Executive
Committee (EXCOM) Meeting of the Orlando Section at the same venue.
