Membership Development Report for February 2011:

As of January 21, 2011, there were 1488 members active members of all grades in the Orlando Section. This is an increase of 22 from the 1466 members tallied on December 21, 2010.  A closer examination of the membership counts by grade for the last three reporting periods is shown below. 

 

A comparison with the totals for January 24, 2010 shows a year-over-year loss in Orlando Section membership, especially among Student Members and Grauate Student Members.

Month-to-month changes occurred for the following grades:  Affiliate (2), Associate (1), Fellow (2), Graduate Student Member (17), Member (-4), Senior Member (-2), and Student Member (6).

From December 23, 2010 through January 21, 2011, 10 new members joined in the Orlando Section:  2 Members, 6 Student Members, and 2 Graduate Student Members. Please welcome these new IEEE members; their names appear on the attached list of new IEEE members to the Orlando Section.

From December 29, 2010 through January 21, 2011, 6 active IEEE members moved to the Orlando Section:  2 Associate Members, 2 Members, 1 Graduate Student Member, and 1 Student Member.  Please welcome the IEEE members who have moved to the Orlando Section.  Their names are shown on the attached list of existing members who have joined the Orlando Section during this period.

The last webcast for the IEEE Membership Development Committee was conducted on Saturday, January 15, 201, and was based on December 2010 data.  A PDF file for the slides used during the webcast is attached to this report.
