Student T-shirt Competition

The SoutheastCon 2001 T-shirt competition will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2001, during the hours of the hardware competition. Any school that has members who are registered to attend SoutheastCon 2001 is eligible to participate in the T-shirt competition. One or more T-shirts may be submitted to represent each participating school's local IEEE student branch and/or electrical engineering department. (Two identical T-shirts must be submitted if the T-shirt has information on both the front and back sides.) In addition, one sign must be submitted with each entry that contains the school's name. Additional information may be included on each sign that describes the T-shirt or school. Each sign must be no larger than 5.5" x 8.5". All T-shirts and signs must be submitted in the hardware competition room by 9:00 am on Saturday, March 31, 2001, at which time the T-shirts and signs will be posted on the walls of the room in which the hardware competition takes place.

Each school will be given 3 ballots with which students may vote for their favorite T-shirts. Voting will take place in the hardware competition room between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2001. Judging should be based on originality, school spirit, and overall design.

Scoring is as follows:

  • 1st place vote = 3 points

  • 2nd place vote = 2 points

  • 3rd place vote = 1 point

First, second, and third place winners will be determined by the total number of points received by each school at the end of the voting period. A fashion show will take place at 4:00 pm in which students may model their T-shirts for the audience.
