Dominion Virginia Power, the IEEE Richmond Section and the IEEE Richmond Women In Engineering Affinity Group worked together to present "It's Electric II" for about 130 Girl Scouts ages 11- 17. The program was held at Dominion Virginia Power's Technical Center at Innsbrook. Our volunteers taught basic electricity and safety, mentored the girls in technical careers, and let the girls ride the IEEE bicycle generator. In addition, we hosted a reception area for the Leaders and parents, sharing ideas and opportunities for Girl Scout links to our IEEE Teacher-in-Service program and Girl Scout electrical/computer-based badges.
