The South Carolina Council has had one e-conference meeting this year, held back in January via e-conference. Discussed during the meeting were the various housekeeping aspects of the council, including reports and non-disclosure forms which require re-newing. The topic of Membership Development was also broached by Lee Stogner, the Membership Development Chair, and great emphasis was placed on how to go about recruiting new members. There was also a meeting held at the SoutheastCon; another face-to-face meeting will be tentatively set for November in Columbia to elect new officers for the coming two year term. All of the sections which comprise the South Carolina Council are functioning well, with various meetings and Plant tours initiated to stimulate involvement.
