Jun/Jul/Aug 2004 activities:
 
We do not hold meetings during the summer months.  During the rest of the year, we hold monthly meetings, alternating the location between Lynchburg, VA and Charlottesville, VA.  Meeting attendance is usually 25-35 members.
 
Currently scheduled meetings include:
"Wireless Sensor Networks", Lynchburg, Sept 20th
"Use of Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors in High Power Motor Control Applications", Charlottesville, Oct 19th
Plant tour of EDM, Inc. (www.edmva.com), Lynchburg, Nov 16th
December Social, Stargazing and Elections, UVa's McCormick Observatory, Dec 7th

Other activities:
We maintain a mirror web site at http://www.cvaieee.org.
We're publishing approximately 6 newletters/year (hardcopy).
We're increasing the use of electronic communications via e-mail and web.
We are soliciting volunteers to undertake k-12 educational activities.
We are exploring participation in local technology council activities.
We are organizing a Computer Society Chapter (petition now complete).
