Overview of Officer Positions
Excerpt from the Section Bylaws:
ARTICLE IV - OFFICERS

Sec. 1. Officers of the Section Shall be Chairman, Vice Chairman, a Secretary-Treasurer and four Members-at-Large of the Executive Committee, all of whom shall hold office for one year beginning on June l, with the exception of Chairman, who at the expiration of the term for which he is elected shall, as Junior Past Chairman, be a member of the Executive Committee for the following year.

Sec. 2. The Section Chairman shall be the executive officer of the Section, assuming the duties and obligations usually pertaining to that office.

Sec. 3. The Section Vice Chairman shall be the Junior Officer and Program Chairman of the Section, assuming the duties and obligations usually pertaining to that office.

Sec. 4. The Secretary-Treasurer shall perform the duties and obligations usually pertaining to those offices and such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Committee.

Sec. 5. The Section shall be governed by an Executive Committee consisting of the Section Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary- Treasurer, four Members-At-Large, Junior Past Chairman of the Section, and Chairmen of Subsections or Chapters. A quorum shall consist of the majority of the Executive Committee membership.

Sec. 6. Any officers may be removed for cause by the Executive Committee at any Executive Committee meeting upon the vote of at least 75 percent of the total Executive Committee membership, provided a motion to that effect shall have been made at a similar meeting at least thirty days before and provided that a copy of such motion together with a statement of charges shall have been delivered forthwith to the officer in question. Such officer shall have the right of defense.

Sec. 7. Any vacancy occurring within the Executive Committee shall be filled by Executive Committee appointment. In making such appointment or appointments, the Executive Committee shall adhere to the specific plan of progression established by these bylaws; except that in case of vacancy of the Junior Past Chairman the appointee shall be the next available past Chairman in recency of service. Any person so appointed shall hold office until the next succeeding annual election.
