SoutheastCon Robotics Teams
year, Region 3 of IEEE hosts a student competition in
robotics where the student branches of IEEE at Virginia
Tech and VMI compete with other colleges and universities
in the Southeast.
2014 competition was held at the University of Kentucky.
Each team will be giving a presentation on their design
strategies, how they built their robots, and how their
robots performed in the competition.
will build a robot that operates on a simulated basketball
court. The robot must follow three lines with randomly
positioned shooting blocks and then fire a dart while
positioned on top of the shooting block. Winners will
be decided by number of points earned by completing goals.

One Continuing Education Credit will be awarded for this
