Virginia Tech and VMI
SoutheastCon Robotics Teams

Each year, Region 3 of IEEE hosts a student competition in robotics where the student branches of IEEE at Virginia Tech and VMI compete with other colleges and universities in the Southeast.

The 2014 competition was held at the University of Kentucky. Each team will be giving a presentation on their design strategies, how they built their robots, and how their robots performed in the competition.

Abstract:
Teams will build a robot that operates on a simulated basketball court. The robot must follow three lines with randomly positioned shooting blocks and then fire a dart while positioned on top of the shooting block. Winners will be decided by number of points earned by completing goals.
