Cloud computing and hosted services has brought the
commoditization of infrastructure and products to everyone.
As a result, the methodologies used in cloud computing
have spread beyond the data center. In this talk I will
give an overview of the transformation cloud computing
has brought on the business and technical worlds. I will
give a demo on how to use a simple control panel and command-line
utilities to create servers, database, and networks and
discuss how these processes can be automated. I will then
discuss how these tools have spurred changes first in
the technical world (Continuous Integration and Continuous
Delivery) and the business world (Fail Fast, Fail Often).
I hope to give the attendees enough information so they
can start asking important questions regarding how these
changes will impact their projects and their industry.
