VMI student robotics team finishes in Final Four
of SoutheastCon 2016 Competition!

IEEE SOUTHEASTCON Student Robot Competition


The student robotics team of VMI recently placed 4th in the Hardware Competition at the 2016 IEEE Southeastern Conference of in Norfolk VA. Forty-one collegiate teams entered the competition, and VMI's strong performance was made possible by their hard work and dedication throughout this academic year. Come hear the engineering students describe the challenges they faced and how they overcame them.

The Virginia Mountain Section (VMS) of the IEEE has been serving members in the Southwest corner of the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1949.

We currently have two Student Branches in local universities and colleges:

  • Virginia Military Institute
  • Virginia Tech
and the VMS Consultants Network Affinity Group.

The purpose of this Affinity Group is to share information concerning consulting opportunities, and to make a list of consultants and their areas of expertise available to potential employers.
