Dinner meetings

About once per month members enjoy a dinner together and hear a speaker describe a technological advance, a new application of technology, developments in industry, or changes in the engineering profession. All meetings are open to all interested persons. |
Tours

Typically once per year, the Cedar Rapids Section sponsors a tour of the facilities of a local employer or a laboratory at one of the nearby universities. |
Encouraging the next generation of scientists and engineers
|
Members volunteer their time and talents in the Eastern Iowa Science and Engineering Fair, the Future Cities competitions , an annual Career Guidance Fair, First LEGO League robotics competitions, and similar activities that introduce students in middle schools and high schools to the practice of engineering. |
