NASA Visit During Engineers' Week

Friday, February 22, 2002 - NASA will visit local schools and colleges

An expert from the John Glen Research Center, David McKissock, Space Engineer, will explain LIFE IN SPACE.

Itinerary

  • Whitefish Bay at 7:45 AM,
  • Marquette University at 9:00 AM
  • MSOE at 10:30 AM
  • Brookfield at 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
  • UW Milwaukee at 6:00 PM followed by pizza

Visits will include handout information and demonstrations


Saturday, February 23, 2002 - NASA Family Day at the Milwaukee Public Museum

Admission is $3.00 for adults, free for kids under 18
Adult admission is payable in check or cash only

The Milwaukee Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is sponsoring two NASA speakers for a Family Day for parents and kids at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Refreshments will be provided and you can roam the museum too!

The theme of this event will be ‘Living in Space.’ David McKissock will discuss the science and technology of space flight and the history of space flight. Topics will interest both parents and kids. Please join us Saturday, 9:00 to 12:00:

  1. History of space flight and significant individuals
  2. Space science and engineering for kids & for adults
  3. Wrap-up with refreshments
  4. Visit the museum the rest of the day
