Mr. Ott has over thirty years experience in the field of EMC. Prior to starting his own consulting company, he was with AT&T Bell Laboratories (now Lucent Technologies) for thirty years, where he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff. Mr. Ott is the author of the popular EMC book Noise Reduction Techniques in Electronic Systems, published in 1976 (First Edition) and 1988 (Second Edition) by Wiley Interscience. The first edition has been translated into Japanese, Russian, Bulgarian, Polish, and Italian and the second edition has been translated into Italian, Japanese, and Chinese. Mr. Ott is a Life Fellow of the IEEE, and an Honorary Life Member of the IEEE EMC Society. For over twenty years, Mr. Ott served the IEEE EMC Society in various capacities including; member of the Board of Directors, Education Committee Chairman, Symposium Committee Chairman, and Vice President for Conferences. In addition he is a former Distinguished Lecturer of the EMC Society, and lectures widely on the subject of EMC. Mr. Ott was the Keynote speaker at both the 2000 "PCB-East" conference held in Worcester, MA and the 1992 "ESD/EOS Symposium" in Dallas, TX. Mr. Ott received his BSEE degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1957 and his MSEE from New York University in 1963. www.hottconsultants.com
