About CTS Volunteers and Chapters

The Central Texas Section

Regional Activities are directed toward developing and maintaining, through sound administrative practices, an organization of geographically-defined member units committed to the advancement of electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering and computer sciences, and the allied branches of engineering and related arts and sciences.

A Section is the local operating organizational unit of IEEE. The Section exists for the advancement of the theory and practice of IEEE designated fields and the maintenance of high professional standards among its members. A Chapter is the technical subunit of one or more IEEE Sections whose members share technical interests and geographical proximity.
