Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Hussain received his PhD in 2005 from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. Before joining KAUST, he was Program Manager of Novel Emerging Technology Program at USA’s largest semiconductor research consortium SEMATECH, located in Austin, Texas. He was also Principal Investigator or Co-PI for 3 US Defense funded research programs: DARPA NEMS, CERA and STEEP. His research interests include integration of nanomaterials via nanofabrication for nanoelectronics and integrated devices. Prof. Hussain is the Editor-in-Chief of Applied Nanoscience (Springer) and an IEEE Senior Member since 2010. He has 119 research papers (including 11 invited papers) in highly acclaimed peer reviewed international journal and conferences. Prof. Hussain has given 32 invited talks and has offered 3 tutorials in international conferences including ECS, SPCC and SPE. He has 15 issued and pending US patent applications. He has recently been named IEEE Electron Devices Society Distinguished Lecturer and has become the Fellow of Institute of Nanotechnology, UK.
