Abstract: 
With the increasing proliferation of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) deployments, Mobile Entertainment Services and exploding Social Media Networking, such as Google Video, Yahoo!, and YouTube.com, the need for real-time, on-demand content reformatting to meet end user’s IP video experience becomes a critical operation for telecommunications companies, service providers and IP video system integrators.  This presentation discusses Media Excel’s solutions to deploy both IPTV and Mobile TV channels.
 

Speaker Bio:

Eduardo is currently the V.P. of Marketing at Media Excel, Inc. and assists in formulating strategic business alliances. Eduardo has 20 years of multimedia development and solutions experience.   Dr. Pérez worked for Ernst & Young, responsible for worldwide interactive multimedia services and  SBC Communications (now AT&T) where he managed SBC's Internet Labs including IP multimedia networks as well team member of SBC Internet Services and DSL rollouts.

A native from Mexico, Eduardo immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 18 to pursue higher education.   He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.   Dr. Pérez holds a variety of patents on video encoding and remote computing.
