Abstract:
OPNET provides software to enable network designers to model Layer 2/3 networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, protocols, and traffic demands. It predicts the behavior of networks, applications, and servers to plan for change, growth, and new application and service deployment. There are products for troubleshooting, validating, planning, designing networks; an optical network-planning product; and network configuration and security auditing. This talk will provide an overview of network modeling and introduction to using this tool.
