The Texas Symposium on Software Engineering (TSSE) was held on August 27-28, 2004. Attendees included researchers, practitioners, and students, who met to exchange research results and experience reports about traditional and emerging areas of software engineering. TSSE was jointly sponsored by the UT Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department's Software
Engineering Industry Affiliates Program and the UT
Software Quality Institute. It was held in collaboration
with the IEEE Computer Society's Technical Council on
Software Engineering. The first day of the TSSE program was a full day of tutorials. The second day included keynote and closing speeches, panel discussions, presentations of research, and the student research poster contest.
Judging in the student poster competition was done by volunteers among the conference attendees. About 35 volunteers rated the student posters on content and presentation. The Central Texas chapter of IEEE Women in Computing sponsored the prizes for the first three place winners, while the Software Quality Institute sponsored the prize for the fourth place winner.
The gallery below lists the winners and the names of their posters. Click on the image to see the full-sized version. Thanks to Theresa Dobbs of the Software Quality Institute for permission to use these photos on this page.
