Meeting Agenda

Invitation to a clean room tour

You are invited to take a tour of International SEMATECH’s clean room facility on November 14th, 2004 at 6 pm. A clean room is an ultra clean manufacturing environment that fabricates microchips and devices. You will have the opportunity to wear a clean room suit (bunny suit) and receive a guided tour through the manufacturing steps of microchip fabrication.

For more information on International SEMATECH, log onto www.sematech.org. A photo gallery of the site and clean room facility is at www.sematech.org/corporate/gallery/.

About international SEMATECH

For years, International SEMATECH has worked to keep our members on the semiconductor industry's historic productivity curve. While this mission is not new, it has a new urgency. The industry is facing tremendous technology and business challenges more formidable and more complex than ever before.

International SEMATECH's role is to tackle those challenges and to ensure the timely availability of the materials, tools, and technology needed by our member companies to stay on the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS), a momentous plan for the industry to make itself 1,000 more times productive in 15 years than it is today.

International SEMATECH's efforts concentrate on programs done in a pre-competitive environment at a consortium dedicated to solving industry infrastructure issues, working on early materials efforts to reduce the number of potential options, working with suppliers on tool evaluation and improvement, and providing a single voice to the industry in areas such as economic modeling and standards.

Registration requirements

To enter International SEMATECH facility and clean room, register on-line so that security badges can be prepared. All participants must fill out a citizenship form. Email to anne.rudack "at" sematech "dot" org by one week prior to the event.

Clean room protocol

Participants are asked to adhere to the following clean room policies:

  • Wear pants or shorts
  • Wear shoes that cover the toes
  • Do not wear face makeup or perfumes/cologne
  • Hair ties are recommended for long hair
