Web Site Gets A Face Lift

Vice Chair Bryan Cook has assumed temporary duties as WebMaster for the Ozark Section web presence. The site had not been updated since sometime around april of 2007 and was in need of some maintenance. Mr Cook decided the Ozark Section Web Site may be better designed in keeping with the main IEEE web site and he used that as his template.

While redesigning the site he has also began to add additional functionality to assist in communicating across the section by providing a Section Chair Corner which will provide weekly or monthly wisdom from our Chair. A member suggestion page where memebers can suggest changes or additional functionality to the site as well as topics for future meetings. Their will also be a Vice Chair Blog, this blog will be updated every one to three days with news around the IEEE as well as national and technology specific interest areas. The blog will have the ablitiy for other members to comment or post questions to the vice chair. this blog as well as the comment and suggestion pages may have to be held on non-IEEE servers as the database and some programing platforms are not available for this functionality.

The new site will be demonstarted during the section buisness meeting and if approved will be moved into production on Wed May 6, 2009. Which is Ironic since you will not be able to read this article until after that date.
