Louisiana Tech Wins First IEEE-USA Student Video Contest

Emile Frey and Ben Toler of Louisiana Tech Wins IEEE-USA Student Video Contest IEEE student members at Louisiana Tech University, in Ruston, took first place in a new video contest sponsored by IEEE-USA. The contest challenged student members to create a video to be posted on YouTube aimed at youngsters ages 11 to 13--that would show that engineering is exciting and beneficial. Student Chapters in Shreveport Section dominates Region 5 Competitions in Kansas City

Student chapters in IEEE Shreveport won 2 out of 4 events at the IEEE Region 5 Conference that were held from April 17-20, 2008

at the Intercontinental Hotel - Kansas City at The Plaza.

 

a) Louisiana Tech IEEE Student Chapter

Emile Frey and Jake Leger won 1st place in the 2nd annual R5 Ethics Competition. The team won $400.00 to split between them.

Emile Frey and Ben Toler got a honorable mention for their IEEE Interest Video: Louisiana Tech University.
 

b) LeTourneau University IEEE Student Chapter

 

Richard Godley and Steve Gilbertson earned FIRST place in the Circuit Design Competition.
