    The two Member At Large positions are 2-year terms and the other positions are 1-year term.

    If any of the IEEE member would like to run for any of the positions listed above, please reply to Mei Yang at meiyang@egr.unlv.edu on or before October 13, 2006

    If only one nomination is made for each office, the election shall be declared by acclamation at a meeting of the Section general membership or the Section Executive Committee. If additional nominations are made, election shall be made by ballot, mailed out no later than October 30, 2006.

    Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, side dishes, refreshments, and desserts will be provided at no charge.

    Aron Ponzio and Tan Wu won the 2nd prize in IEEE SWA Student Paper Contest with their paper

    "Non intrusive eye detection and tracking system for differentiation of gaze direction".

    Faculty advisors: Dr. Emma Regentova and Dr. Muthukumar Venkatesan.

Description:  This presentation will discuss how the electric transmission system is planned, especially in regards to reliable service for its customers. Technical specifications, contractual obligations and federal regulations will be explained, along with examples of how the system is constantly being tested.

Our students in the Senior Design class, Drew Hall and Tondra De won the first prize in the Micro Mouse Contest held in UCSD, Apr. 9.

They also won the second prize in the IEEE SouthWest Area Student Paper Contest
