Greetings! The IEEE Orange County Section has had an active year so far, with a few more events to come this month. Please see our calendar for more details. The recent IEEE-OC Awards Banquet was most successful, with a nice mix of speakers, volunteer recognition and good energy. An opportunity for our IEEE volunteer family to get together and celebrate accomplishments. Plans for 2010 are under way as we focus on initiatives that make a difference. In addition to our usual technical chapters and focus, specific areas include:
• Engineers-in-Transition: Jobs and Careers
• Corporate Relations: Engaging the Community
• Student Activities: Universities & Colleges
• Engineers-2-Educators: High School STEM
• PACE: Professional Development for IEEE Members
• Public Policy & Government Activities Please join us to accomplish these and other goals. This is also a call for volunteers and nominations for a range of positions including the IEEE OC Section Officers, Committee Chairs and many other roles.
