Who We Are
The new OC IEEE Entrepreneurs' Network is
organized as a Special Interest Group sponsored by the IEEE OC and LA Area
Consultants' Networks. Collaborative programming with other OC IEEE
SIGs, and related organizations, synergistically combines our
entrepreneurial focus with a variety of technologies and interests.
What We Do
The OCEN will provide a recurrent forum for electrical and computer engineering entrepreneurs and technology businesspersons to connect, inspire, present, discuss, and evaluate entrepreneurial topics objectively.
The OCEN Programs will be member driven so as to maximize the benefit to members and speakers. We anticipate that the primary audience interest to be in small, high-tech, emerging engineering businesses or applications, but does not exclude other fields or areas.
NEW BUSINESS IDEA FORUMS
The OCEN's "New Business IDEA FORUM” employs a public peer review system designed to benefit both the presenter and the audience. The forums provide a structured format for efficient brainstorming of new business concepts. The business idea maturity level niche lies between a crude one-page business plan and the formal Venture Forums conducted by other organizations. Presentations need not focus on all aspects of the business plan, but may emphasize issues where the Presenter seeks advice. If you are considering a new business concept, the IDEA FORUM may be an ideal way to get the technical/business advice you need! To find out, contact f.forbath@ieee.org.
