Windows 8 introduces many new features, one of which is Metro Style applications — this session is a first look at Metro Style apps. We will go over the application development environment including the WinRT and Process Lifetime Management, and will demonstrate how to build a simple Metro style app using Xaml.
With the Windows Store, there are now new ways to monetize your app. We will discuss some of these techniques, as well as techniques to consume and share data. Many of these methods are new to Windows 8, and allow vastly expanded possiblities. Some of these techniques integrate with live services, devices, sensors, and applications. We will demonstrate and explain how to implement these techniques.
