Dear OC Computer Society Presenter -

Times, dates, maps, etc are on our website, here:
https://www.ieee-occs.org

Briefly, we meet at 6:00PM for "networking", those who are having dinner
sit down at 6:30PM. The presentation proper begins around 7:10PM. I
recommend allocating an hour of slides (.PPT), and 20 mins of Q&A,
although the presentations usually last until 9 or 9:30PM. (But we once
closed down the bar - it was an exceptional topic).

We'll provide dinner for you and your guest. You have a choice of several
flavors of chicken or vegetarian dishes for dinner.

Our members are professional electrical engineers, which translates as
very technical and well educated in the sciences. The Computer Society
Chapter are those members with a special interest in the Computer
Sciences, notably hardware design as well as software development. We
will be very interested in the current state of the art, as well as its future.
You may be as technical as you wish.

I recommend to new speakers that they provide a lot of graphics and
diagrams, and organize their presentation as a brief Introduction and
Overview of the field (which includes the current State-of-the-Art), and
then feel free to drill down into their own interests.

Bring your laptop, we provide an LCD projector (Infocus LP-70).

We always post the presentation files (.PPT or .PDF, etc) on our website
within a few days of the presentation. Please be preparded to provide
the files either via email or other digital media. You may view previous
presentations by clicking here.

I sincerely look forward to your presentation.

Kindest Regards,
Dr. Don V Black, Chair Emeritus
