OEB PES Chapter Officers for 2009
Chair: Marvin R Hamon, P.E., MSEE
Marvin Hamon has been involved with IEEE and PES since entering college many years ago. He is past Vice President and past President of the PES student chapter at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA and has served two terms as the Vice Chair of the Oakland / East Bay PES chapter.
He is also on the board of directors for the Northern California Solar Energy Society and active in Engineers Without Borders. When he is not volunteering he is consulting on photovoltaic system design through his engineering firm Hamon Engineering.
Vice - Chair: Stephen Howarter, P.E.
Stephen Howarter has been involved with OEB PES for four years. He has
served as PES Secretary, PES Chair, and now PES Vice Chair. Stephen
graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering with a Power Emphasis. He is
now a Project Manager for San Francisco based EDesignC, Inc.
Secretary: Rosanna Lerma, P.E., LEED AP
Rosanna Lerma has been
involved with IEEE over the last 20 years serving as PES Chair from
2004-2007, Section PACE for over 15 years and currently Section Chair.
Her work includes pre-college activities that promote student
involvement with math and science such as science fairs and summer
programs. She has received the IEEE 2003 Community Service award as
well as the IEEE Third Millenium Medal.
She is principal with the San Francisco based EDesignC, Inc. an
engineering design collaborative company and has worked in the field of
power and energy for over 20 years.
Treasurer: Jeffry Gosal, P.E.
Jeffry Gosal has been involved with IEEE since college. He has served as OEB PES Treasurer for the past two years. Jeffry graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is currently a Vice President for Salas O'Brien Engineers, an architectural and engineering firm.
