Call for IEEE Fellow Nominations PDF Print E-mail

Nominations are being accepted for the IEEE Fellows class of 2010.  The rank of IEEE Fellow is the institute’s highest member grade, bestowed on an IEEE Senior Member who has had an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest.  The deadline for nominations is 1 March 2009.

Senior Members can be nominated in one of four categories: application engineer/practitioner, research engineer/scientist, educator, or technical leader.

The Fellows Web pages contain information regarding the history of the IEEE Fellows program, the nomination process, access to the Fellows Nomination Kit, lists of Fellows who are eligible to be references and more about the Fellow program.  Please visit the Fellows website at http:/www.ieee.org/fellows .

 
IEEE Awards Board Seeking Medals and Recognitions Nominations PDF Print E-mail
The IEEE Awards Board is seeking nominations for IEEE Medals and Recognitions and encourages the use of its online Potential Nominee Form. This form allows a preliminary review of a nominee by the selection committee and an opportunity to obtain feedback prior to submitting a full nomination. The Potential Nominee Form is available on the IEEE Awards Web Page at http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/about/awards/noms/potnomform.html.

IEEE Richland Section Engineer of the Year PDF Print E-mail
The 2007 IEEE Richland Section Engineer of the Year winner and the IEEE nominee for this year's Tri-Cities Engineer of the Year is Dr. Barbara Philipp, P.E. with DMJM H&N in Richland.

Volunteers Needed for Richland Science Bowl PDF Print E-mail
Volunteers are needed for the DOE Regional Science Bowl on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at WSU Tri-Cities. Question readers, scorers, timers, and judges are required in each of 14 competition rooms beginning at 8:00 a.m. until noon, 2:30 or 5:00 p.m.  Up to 48 teams of high school students will compete in Jeopardy!-style contests with math and science categories.  Check http://nationalsciencebowl.energy.gov for additional details.
