IEEE Richland Section Educational Events, January 2008 PDF Print E-mail

IEEE Richland Section will hold a series of educational events using course materials from the IEEE Expert Now program. Course topics span a wide array of technologies and you will learn from leading experts in the field. Participants will also be able to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for maintaining professional certifications and career development.

The first three sessions are scheduled on Jan 29, Feb 26 and March 26, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on WSU Tri-Cities campus, Room TCIC 210. The topic for these first three sessions is professional development: Stuff You Don’t Learn in Engineering School: Skills for Success in the Real World – Module 1 to 3. The objective of the course is to help younger engineers and emerging project managers – indeed, engineers in all disciplines and all professionals – learn the soft skills that are important to be more effective and happier in the real world.

Besides the course material from IEEE Expert Now program, we will also have Dr. Ron Melton, a seasoned researcher at PNNL with rich engineering and management experiences, present his own views and answer your questions.
