The IEEE Richland Computer Society Chapter is pleased to present Dave Roach 10 Years of Electronic Medical Record Experience at Kadlec Thursday, October 14, 2010 5:00 - 6:00 pm (refreshments provided) Biological Sciences Facility (BSF), Darwin Room (1007) Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Abstract: Kadlec Health System has been investing in Information Technology for 10 years. This technology has made it possible for nurses and physicians to access patient data in a ubiquitous fashion 24x7x365. Kadlec has struggled to patch together numerous sources of healthcare data into a complete and useful record, while at the same time meeting the community need for privacy and security. Speaker: Dave Roach is the VP IS / CIO at Kadlec. Dave has over 35 years of technical and management experience in healthcare. Dave has worked as an Engineer and a technical director for several companies, including 2 hospitals. At Kadlec Medical Center, Dave directs the activities of nearly 100 staff in 7 technical areas making up the MIS Division. Dave is a member of the Washington State STEM Education Foundation (the Delta School). Dave has a BSEE from the University of Illinois, with a major in Computer Science, and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems.
