The response to OCEN’s 5/30/09 event was so enthusiastic that some of us decided to go ahead and form a group that will dedicate itself to help its members obtain ARRA funding from the U.S. government to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.

1.       Name of the group Discussion 10 min

2.       Preliminary organization charter and rough structure to focus on ARRA - Leader: Don Black

3.       Relationship with OCEN. Discussion 10 min Joint meetings or co sponsor etc

4.       Identify ARRA Project Leaders - Leader: Narisa Chu
 - those who are in the ARRA bidding already and have to ramp up if chosen (old/black hands)
 - those who are getting into the ARRA and have targets identified (middle of the road/brown hands)
 - those who want to learn the rope (young/green hands)

5.       Expertise exploration and collaboration with individuals and companies - Paul & Alice - form SIGs in energy, healthcare, communications, etc.

6.       Discuss initial process and use of Linked In for group and bios.

7.       ARRA next topics, schedules, and call for teams to identify and pursue more funding opportunities coming down the pipe.

·          Effective strategies, research, forming collaborative teams

·          Marketing to the Feds - Helping people understand how to work with the Government

·          How to do cost proposals

·          How to do R&D –
