The presentation provides a general understanding of sleep disordered breathing, an overview of how ResMed’s medical device provides adaptive therapy and a review of the device pneumatic circuit, wave forms, therapy algorithms and feature sets.

Speaker Biography
Dennis Brodie is the Chief Operating Officer for ResMed Motor Technologies, a subsidiary of ResMed, a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of products for the screening, treatment and long-term management of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and other respiratory disorders. Dennis has held Engineering and Operations Management positions working for firms servicing the Aerospace, Military, Commercial and Medical markets. He has broad experience in precision mechanical assemblies and has been involved in electric motor development and manufacturing for almost twenty years. He has obtained a B.S. degree in M.E. from CSUN in 1980 and in 1985 with an MBA. He is a strong supporter of the CSUN College of Engineering and Computer Science and has engaged students through internships and served as the voice of industry in helping CSUN develop an interdisciplinary /inter college master’s degree in assistive technology.
