McMaster ECE Expo

Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at McMaster University annual ECE Expo (previously known as Poster Day)
For details on the event, please refer to their website - www.eng.mcmaster.ca/ece/ece-expo

Date: 2018-Apr-05 (Thursday)
Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: CIBC Hall (on the 3rd floor of McMaster University Student Centre)

Sponsoring: All donations will be used to cover the cost of the event, including the cash prizes for the top 3 teams in each category, and costs associated with the projects. The sponsoring companies are welcome to provide us with a brief advertising video to play on the big screen in the background of the event, display their company banner, and provide promotional materials for students. Sponsoring companies will also be noted in our pre- and post- event coverage.
For more information contact Kelly Lyth lythk@ece.mcmaster.ca

Judging: We need industry professionals to attend the event from 8:30 to 4:30pm, assessing approximately 12 projects out of the 47 in the exhibition (the ones related as closely as possible to your area of expertise). Judges will be on a team of 3-4 professionals. Each student group will deliver a presentation of approximately 10 minutes long, outlining the scope and design of their project, and then will demonstrate it. Judges will score the group, according to a set of guidelines, and have the opportunity to ask the group questions. Scores will be tallied, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each category. Judges attending on behalf of a company will have their company logo included on our background slide show, are welcome to bring a company banner, and provide promotional material to hand out. Judges will be provided with lunch, beverages and snacks throughout the day, as well as a complimentary parking pass.
