50th Anniversary AGM on November 25, 2006
The Southern Alberta Section will be hosting its 50th Anniversary Annual General Meeting on Saturday Nov. 25, 2006 at the Port O'Call, Best Western (1935 McKnight Boulevard NE). A buffet dinner and a cash bar will be included. There will be speakers from our senior membership, awards as well as our section election. It will be a time for celebration and to share what it means to be in our IEEE community. Tickets are $50 each for members and guests, $20 each for students with ID. Our gathering will begin at 6:00 PM for cocktails and dinner will start at 6:30PM. Please notify Lawrence Whitby at 403-207-3142 or at ieeesas@ieee.org of your attendance.

Southern Alberta Section 2007 Section Officers Election
This year is our election year. The term for the Section positions of Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary for 2007 are now up on Dec 31, 2006. Due to some unforeseen circumstances at the end of September, your executives had to scramble to organize an election. If you are interested in nominating yourself or others for any of these positions, please send an e-mail to the Nominating Committee Chair Bill Kennedy for consideration by our Nominating Committee.

The Southern Alberta Section will be hosting its annual general meeting on Nov. 19, 2005 at the Port O'Call, Best Western (1935 McKnight Boulevard NE). Guest Speakers will include the University of Calgary Solar Car Race Team which will talk about their experiences in the North American race that ended in Calgary and the world race currently underway in Australia. A Buffet dinner and a cash bar will be included. Tickets are $30 each for members and guests, $35 for non-members and two for 1 for students with ID. 6:30 PM cocktails and 7:00PM Dinner.
