Abstract

Do you want to get organized, but don't know where to start? Have you tried to get organized, without success? Come and learn about the four steps to organization, and the reasons why some people have more difficulty than others getting and staying organized. In this workshop, Janet Barclay provides participants with an opportunity to discover the benefits of an organized life and learn new strategies for maximizing your time and space at work and in their personal lives.

Biography

Janet Barclay established Organized Assistant in order to share her natural organizing abilities and the many computer and administrative skills she has gained throughout her career. Committed to lifelong learning, she continually upgrades her skills through self-study and by participating in seminars and conferences. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and has been certified as a Master Virtual Assistant. As a qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(R) practitioner, Janet applies her knowledge of personality type to help others use their natural preferences to work more effectively. She offers productivity coaching and hands-on organizing services, as well as workshops and seminars. In addition, she provides virtual administrative assistance and website services to small business clients. Janet's helpful articles appear in her monthly ezine, The Organized Assistant Resource, and at OrganizedArticles.com, her online article directory. She has been recognized as an expert in the organizing industry as a featured guest on Smith 'n Hayes, CH News at 6, Breakfast Television, and Roaring Women Radio, as well as in Canadian House & Home, OfficePro, the Hamilton Spectator and the Hamilton Mountain News. Her articles have also been published in Canada's SOHO Business and Panorama magazines. Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, Janet now makes her home in Hamilton, where she resides with her husband, Scott, and their cat, Dusty.
