Abstract

With close to 2 millions of science and engineering first-degree graduates world-wide entering the labor market every year, where does one find an edge and stay competitive? With the next step leading to numerous choices of profession, how should one apply oneself? In the tide of globalization, there are opportunities, and there are challenges. How to steer clear of the undertow and maximize ones potential?

This seminar intends to offer tomorrow’s engineering professionals a look at today's semiconductor value-chain and an international perspective on how globalization changes the landscape of the industry, specifically in terms of outsourcing, capital spending, intellectual property and trade.
