| Abstract
|
The modern workplace, though prevalent with technological advancements,
remains as stressful as ever. This presentation will look at mental
health in the workplace with a special emphasis on the high-tech
industry. Mental Health Works is a joint initiative of the Ministry of
Citizenship and the Canadian Mental Health Association. Its objective is
to provide resources for employers and employees to address mental
health problems in the workplace.

| Biography
|
Mary Ann Baynton is a Registered Social Worker. She has a background
that includes both business management and social policy research. Her
interest in mental health and her experience as a facilitator enable her
to deliver informative and useful presentations on the issue of mental
health in the workplace.
