IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section
Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two
years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who
volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the
IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their
invaluable contributions.

Horace Cheng, B.A.Sc, M.A.Sc. – Solid-State Circuits Chapter Treasurer
Horace Cheng completed the B.A.Sc. degree from the University of Waterloo in 2005, and the M.A.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto in 2008. He was awarded the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarships for his graduate studies. His research focus for his graduate degree was on high-speed CMOS transmitter with pulse-amplitude and pulse-width modulation to combat lossy serial links. He joined Synopsys Inc. as a R&D engineer in 2008, since then he has been mainly working on high-speed circuits for various SERDES standards, with emphasis on transmitter design. . |
