Grad Students – New member grade just around the corner!
:
When you renew your IEEE dues in 2007, you will receive a new membership card identifying you as a Graduate Student Member (GSM). You will still continue to pay the low student dues rate, but now, unlike regular student members, you will be able to vote in IEEE elections and you will be able to hold volunteer positions that were previously restricted to those that had full member grade. You will automatically qualify for GSM grade if you have earned a bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree from an accredited institution in a program within the IEEE’s fields of interest, and you are a registered graduate student in a regular graduate course of study (with at least half of full-time load).
In September, the IEEE will adjust the status of eligible students. If you believe you qualify but don’t get contacted, then please contact IEEE member services directly at +1 732 981 0060 or via e-mail at Alternatively, you can also contact us and we can help to adjust your status.

workload over many Section members, the individual load is kept small - we
are looking for a few additional members to help out in the following
specific areas:
- Secretary for our Industry Applications Society
If you are interested, please contact
David
- The Communications Society is looking for a Volunteer to get involved with organizing technical, educational and professional seminars. Somebody from the industry will be an asset.
