Profile on Litifa Noor
Litifa is a student at Ryerson University and recently served as one of the
two organizing co-chairs of the 3rd International Conference for Upcoming
Engineers (see below for more about the conference). She is also the
chair of the IEEE Student Branch at Ryerson University.
Litifa is one of seven students to receive the 2004 IEEE Canadian
Foundation Scholarships. Each Scholarship is valued at $3,500 and
is applied towards final year tuition fees and related expenses.
This year Litifa's award was co-sponsored by the IEEE Toronto Section.
Litifa was nominated by branch counselor Alagan Anpalagan for her
ongoing commitment to the IEEE McNaughton Learning Resource Centre and
related IEEE activities.

Conference Report

The 3rd International Conference for Upcoming Engineers (ICUE) was held
May 13-14, 2004 at Ryerson University in Toronto. The conference featured
85 technical papers (32 from outside Canada), 29 design projects, and 5
state-of-the-art tutorials, culminating in an awards banquet - please read
the online report for more details.
