This two day seminar is for those who manage or work on projects, but have little or no formal training in the field. The course touches on key process areas described in the Project Management Institute's "Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge", including Project Integration, Scope Management, Cost Management, Time Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, Quality Management, Communications Management, Human Resources. Photo ImageCelia Desmond (SMIEEE) was recognized with the 2007 IEEE Canada W. S. Read Outstanding Service Award for her outstanding service to the profession and to the society, in Canada and abroad.

The IEEE Toronto Section would like to congratulate Celia Desmond for her achievement and thank her for her service to the profession.

3 May – Articles are now being accepted for the new IEEE WOMEN IN ENGINEERING MAGAZINE, scheduled to debut in August 2007. The publication will promote the mission of Women in Engineering – “To Inspire, Engage, Encourage and Empower IEEE Women Worldwide ” – through articles that integrate engineering with current issues facing society and interdisciplinary technologies, including medicine, law, governance and international women’s issues....more

Volunteering a few hours a month is a very rewarding experience - we have a great group of about 45 volunteers who contribute to the smooth running of our Section - by distributing the workload over many Section members, the individual load is kept small.
