IEEE Toronto Section Receives 2006 Sustained Membership Growth Award
The IEEE Toronto Section has been recognized by the IEEE Regional Activities Board (RAB) for its continued success in attracting and retaining Outstanding Leadership and its results in IEEE Membership Development Activities for the period of 2004 to 2006 in Region 7. The section would like to thank volunteers Dimitri Androutsos and Alex Bot for their leadership in membership development.

27 September – IEEE is announcing the launch of IEEE.tv – an Internet-based television network that features targeted programming on technology and engineering produced by IEEE members. First IEEE 802 Wireless Standards Education Workshop to Take Place at IEEE GLOBECOM  
26 September – The IEEE Educational Activities Board in cooperation with the IEEE Standards Association is presenting a first of its kind standards education workshop. Through this workshop, attendees can learn about the important role IEEE 802 Wireless Standards play in manufacturing and production processes. In association with IEEE GLOBECOM, the workshop is scheduled to take place 30 November to 1 December 2007 in Washington, DC. ...........more
